>>GOODYEAR STEPS-UP AS A CARAVAN SPONSOR<<

(West Covina CA, 6/1/07) Goodyear Brand Marketing Manager for Auto Tires, Bob Toth, and Southern California/Southern Nevada Caravan Captain, Hib Halverson, announced today that Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company will repeat as a major sponsor for the SoCal/SoNev Section of the 2009 National Corvette Caravan.

"We participated in the 50th Anniversary Corvette Caravan back in '03 and we are glad to get involved in the 2009 event. Goodyear has been OE on Corvette since 1978 and I can't think of any better way to supporting some of our best customers, Corvette owners, than by helping out the Caravan," Toth told the eNews.

Captain Halverson added, "We couldn't do a Caravan without Goodyear, for two reasons, actually--1) most of us wouldn't have good tires on our Corvettes and 2) we need Goodyear's sponsorship support in fund raising operations. I appreciate the efforts of my good friend, Bob Toth, along with another of the Caravan friends at Goodyear, Chuck Sinclair, Vice President for Global Communications, in arranging Goodyear's help."

>>OUR FULL SPONSOR LIST<<

Goodyear joins a number of other business and individuals in Southern California and Southern Nevada which are supporting the Caravan. The Southern California/Southern Nevada Section Organizing Team is grateful for the support these sponsors are giving our event.

>>ENTRIES CLIMB ABOVE 100 CARS<<

(Irvine CA, 5/27/08) "Commander" Sherry Maples, who keeps track of registration-related issues for the SoCal/SoNev Organizing Team announced today that registrations for the Southern California/Southern Nevada Section of the 2009 National Corvette Caravan have passed the 100 cars mark. As of Tuesday of last week, we had 189 Caravanners and 103 cars signed-up for the SoCal/SoNev Section of the '09 Caravan.

>>WE EXPLAIN OUR eNEWS POLICY<<

When we sent out issue #14, we had an inordinate amount of email "bounces" due to full mail boxes, inability to find a computer on the Internet, wrong (presumably changed) email addresses and so forth. This has been a slight problem for a number of months but it's growing into a bigger problem as the list for the eNews grows in size.

Because our list is hundreds of email addresses, the SoCal/SoNev Organizing Team doesn't have the time to "run-down" every email address change nor do we have time to take special measures to "clear" our email address through some of the various spam filters or anti-spam web sites some people use.

So...here's our policy on how we administrate the email address list for the SCSN Electronic Newsletter ("eNews").

First--We don't do bounces.

If an issue of the eNews bounces from your email address for any reason, we remove your email address from the list. After you solve the problem that prevented you from receiving the eNews, you'll have to resubscribe.

Second---We don't do spam filters.

If you have a spam management or filtering system that requires us to make extra effort (such as going to a specific web site and "registering" or sending special email to a separate address) you won't be placed on the list for the eNews. If you want the eNews, please enter the two SC/SN Caravan addresses, <eNews.SCSN@charter.net> and <captain.socalcar@charter.net> into your antispam system *before* you make a subscription request.

Best Regards,
The Southern California/Southern Nevada Caravan Organizing Team

Going on the Caravan? Don't go braless.
95% of new cars with less than 1,000 miles have paint blemishes from normal driving. Imagine what two years of street driving followed by a cross-country trip will do to YOUR paint. The solution? A "Clear Bra". It functions like a traditional auto bra but is far more durable. It will NOT scratch your Corvette's finish like most "strap-on" auto bras. This 3M Paint and Headlight Protection lasts for the life of your Vette.
