SoCal Caravan 09 eNewsNo. 3 - 2/1/07>>>TOP STORY<<< The web page for the Southern California Section of the 2009 National Corvette Caravanhas been posted at: Captain Randy Shinn, Webmaster for the National Corvette Caravan, has done a heck of a job and designed a butt-kicking good web page for us. On that page, in the next few days, the "marketing survey" discussed in issue #2 of the SoCalCar eNews will be posted. The SoCalCar Organizing Team is very interested in hearing from those who went on the '03 Caravan and who are planning to run the '09 vent, so if that's you ... please ... visit the web site next week and take the survey. In issue #2, we stated this survey would be distributed using this eNews but, since then, "Admiral" Kathie Summers, Chair of the National Caravan Team and "Captain" Hib Halverson of the SoCalCar Organizing team agreed that doing this survey on the Caravan web site was a better choice. >>OTHER NEWS<< The "Caravan Chat" email list is now up and running. This is a service provided by the National Corvette Museum. Those wanting to sign-up for Caravan Chat should do so on the SoCalCar web page at the URL listed above. The first nationwide Captains' meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the C5 Birthday Bash this coming April at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This meeting is exclusive to Captains so, If you're not one of them ... don't ask. We take note of this meeting in this issue of SoCalCar/eNews because it indicates that the effort necessary to plan, organize and operate the 2009 National Corvette Caravan is building momentum. We're not to the point where we're ready to issue these newsletters regularly so the next time we have "news" of the Southern California Section we'll send out issue #4 of the SoCalCar/eNews.
