August Update

I have had the Hardcards and other materials sent directly to me to hand out at our stops / meeting points. If you have opted not to travel with us please contact me to arrange pick up of them prior to leaving.

Hello everyone I am Bob Mahler. I live in the Annapolis, MD area and will be your Captain for the 2009 Caravan. This is my first caravan, so please bear with me and send me suggestions.

I have a route planned, just not all the final details. I will try to update as things get worked out.

We will start from somewhere in Annapolis on 9/01 between noon & 1pm, head up I-97 to I-70 & I-68 to Deep Creek Lake (McHenry, MD). Eat and stay the night at Comfort Inn. We should have an evening reception and kick off from there the next morning. Miniature golf and go karts are available, as are shopping and a movie theater.

9/02 Head out stopping in Charleston, WV for lunch at the Quaker Steak & Lube (they are excited about us coming). Then on to Bowling Green, arriving there around 6pm.

Our return trip on 9/06 will be east on KY90/KY80/KY15 and then head up I-81 stopping in either Roanoke or Christiansburg, VA for the evening

I am getting a 'found sitting outside neglected for 7 years' 1974 coupe, L48, 4 spd, roadworthy. It may not look pretty by then, but it will make the trip.
