Nebraska, Kansas & Missouri

Hello Corvette Enthusiasts!

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Carl Ballinger, my wife Sharon and I are the (first time) Caravan Captains for the 09 Caravan for the great Midwest states of Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska.

We have just started planning so as of now everything is tentative. We know for sure we will be traveling to the Omaha (or perhaps Lincoln) area to start the three state caravan. From there the caravan will travel to the Kansas City area via I-29 to pick up the Kansas group. From there we will proceed across the Show Me State of Missouri via I-70 to the St. Louis area.

Being in the Midwest we will most likely have some of the western states traveling our route from Kansas to St. Louis. Time and schedule permitting, we may join their caravan. Another possibility is joining Caravans from Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.

A probable stop for our Caravan is Mid America Motorworks in Effingham, Illinois.

Our current time table calls for leaving Nebraska Tuesday morning with an overnight stop in the St. Louis area. We will probably stop on the Illinois side to avoid morning rush hour traffic on Wednesday. An early morning departure will put us in Effingham in plenty of time to look over their amazing facility. From there, we will leave for Bowling Green for a late afternoon/early evening arrival.

From the St. Louis area, Marty and Judy Dooley have volunteered to help coordinate efforts in Missouri and we welcome any offers to help especially for the states of Kansas and Nebraska.

These plans are only preliminary and are open for input/comments from all participants. Hope to hear from many of you.
