South Texas

Welcome to the South Texas Caravan heading to Bowling Green September 3rd, 4th, 5th, 2009.

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Bob Hall, Captain for the South Texas Caravan and I live in San Antonio, Texas. This will be my 3rd caravan to Bowling Green and my first as Captain. Steve Strawn is my Co-Captain. Steve is also from San Antonio and this will be his first caravan to Bowling Green. Ralph Christ from Austin, Texas will be my Lieutenant for that club. At the present time I am looking for someone to help from the Waco and Corpus Christi areas.

Following is the tentative schedule to caravan to Kentucky. This is subject to change.

September 1st Tuesday
Leave San Antonio at 6:00am, heading to Austin. At 8:00am will leave Austin and head to Waco arriving around 10:00am. At 10:30am, leave Waco, arriving in Dallas around 12:30pm. At this time, we do not have information on the Dallas lunch stop. After lunch we will head to Little Rock for an overnight, meeting up with the rest of the West caravan groups. This is a 600 mile trip from San Antonio.

We do not have Hotel information in Little Rock at this time.

September 2nd Wednesday
After an early morning breakfast in Little Rock we will all head towards Bowling Green with some scheduled stops on the way. We’ll arrive in Bowling Green late in the afternoon. This will be a 425 mile trip from Little Rock.

September 3rd through the 5th
National Corvette Museum 15th Anniversary Festivities

If you have not already done so, please visit the NCM website and register for the Caravan. After the first of the year, you will also need to register with NCM for the Anniversary Festivities.
