Indiana, Michigan, Western Kentucky

My wife Verna and I are very excited to once again lead the caravan to the National Corvette Museum. The dates for the event at the museum are Wednesday August 28 – Saturday August 31 2019. Over twenty caravans will meet at the Museum to celebrate the 25th Anniversary. Twenty five years is a great milestone for the Museum.

Our two primary sponsors are Matick Chevrolet and Corvette Central. Matick Chevrolet and Corvette Central were sponsors of our 2014 caravan and multiple events that my wife and I organize. We are extremely grateful for their support.

The tentative plans for now will be to leave SE Michigan on Tuesday morning August 27. We will have a kick off breakfast at our sponsor Matick Chevrolet in Redford Michigan. We will head west on 94 to Marshall Michigan where we will have lunch and meet with the caravan from the west part of Michigan. After lunch, our next stop will be Indianapolis, Indiana where we will have dinner and spend the night. We will be joined here by the Corvettes from Indiana. Wednesday morning we will head over to Indianapolis Speedway for laps and pictures crossing the finish line. Then we are off to Louisville for lunch at Churchill Downs where we will regroup and meet with the Western Kentucky Caravan. After lunch we will start our final leg of the journey and drive to Bowling Green.

This is an overview and is subject to change.

I have local leaders that will help organize the caravan. They will also have window clings and flags for sale. In Michigan I have Cynthia Gregor on the west side of Michigan and Jim Schoenfield in the Flint area. In Indianapolis I have Wylie Etscheid as a local leader. Jerry Croy from Indy will also be on hand to help. I will add on one more in the Louisville area.

I asked Tux Hadler in Indianapolis to be my Co-Captain. Many of you will know Tux from Simply Corvettes. My wife Verna is also my Co-Captain and Treasurer We brought close to 600 Corvettes in our caravan in 2014 to the Museum. I am sure we will exceed that number.

ROOMS. Many hotels will not let me book them until one year away. The last time everyone was able to get rooms. I will have more information when it is available. I do suggest you going to the Museum website for the Caravan look up lodging to see what is available. Some hotels are booking individual rooms. If I can get a better deal, you can cancel your reservation and go with mine. The main point is you will have one.

WHAT DO WE DO WHEN WE GET THERE? The Museum will have many things to do and see.

Caravan Selection
My Caravan is the Michigan, Indiana & Western Kentucky

We will be joined by Corvettes from Canada, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Alabama.

When registering you have the option to specify which Caravan you will be traveling with, or to indicate that you will not be traveling with a Caravan. This information is important as we will be sending event credentials to the caravan captains to be given to participants prior to arriving at the Museum. This will help the registration lines be much shorter as only those not traveling with a caravan, or those registering on site will need to visit the registration area at the Museum. You can change which caravan you are traveling with later should your plans change. This can be changed when you log into your account on the website, or by calling the Museum Events Department.

Get on track at the NCM Motorsports Park for some spirited laps around the 3.15 mile road course in your Corvette! Pre-register for the session of your choice for one flat price! Pre-Registration Required.

Registration for the Michigan, Indiana & Western Kentucky Caravan.

I try to keep costs down. If there are direct costs like going on the track in Indianapolis you will be told in advance and then choose to join or not. The main goal of our team is for you to arrive safe and have fun and build new friendships and memories. You can call or text me. If you call please leave a message or I will not call back. Too many junk calls.
